About the Role
We're seeking a versatile, curious, and adaptable intern to join our team in Austin as we build Kingdom Quest. As a "utility player," you'll have the unique opportunity to work across multiple disciplines in our Austin studio, gain hands-on experience, and make meaningful contributions to an innovative gaming experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist various teams including engineering, design, content, and operations as needed
- Help with game testing, user research, and feedback collection
- Support content creation for in-game experiences and marketing materials
- Collaborate on documentation and research projects
- Contribute ideas and perspectives to brainstorming and problem-solving sessions
- Take ownership of small projects under the guidance of senior team members
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (computer science, game design, interactive media, etc.)
- Strong interest in games, interactive experiences, and emergent technologies
- Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools and skills quickly
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have
- Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal) or web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Background in content creation (writing, art, video production)
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles
- Familiarity with ARGs, escape rooms, or other interactive entertainment
