About the Role
We're looking for an organized, energetic Junior Event Coordinator to join our team in Austin and help run our immersive interactive experiences. In this role, you'll work onsite to coordinate live events, manage participant experiences, and ensure the seamless integration of our digital and physical gameplay elements. You'll be the crucial bridge between our creative vision and participants' real-world experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute immersive live events in our warehouse space and at various locations throughout Austin
- Manage participant check-in, orientation, and guide them through the experience
- Ensure all technical elements (lighting, sound, digital interfaces, props) are functioning properly
- Brief and coordinate staff, actors, and volunteers during events
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during live experiences
- Collect and organize participant feedback to improve future events
- Maintain inventory of event supplies and equipment
- Assist with event setup, teardown, and reset between sessions
- Document event procedures and create operational guidelines
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in event coordination, stage management, or similar role
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment
- Proficiency with productivity tools and basic technical equipment
- Availability to work evenings and weekends when events are scheduled
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
Nice to Have
- Experience with immersive theater, escape rooms, LARPs, or interactive entertainment
- Background in theater production, hospitality, or customer service
- Knowledge of basic audio/visual equipment operation
- Familiarity with digital interfaces and troubleshooting common technical issues
- Experience managing groups of people in interactive settings
- First aid certification
- Interest in game design and interactive storytelling
